Khadija Gurnah is a Campaign Director with MomsRising working on the Social Emotional Development campaign.
Khadija Gurnah has over a decade of experience working as a public health leader, campaigner, researcher, and blogger. She has worked both in the global south and in the United States to foster better physical and mental health outcomes for underserved populations, including the uninsured, Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, women, children and youth. In October of 2014, she was awarded a ‘Champion of Change’ award from the White House for work on ACA outreach.
Prior to joining MomsRising full-time as a Campaign Director, she worked for MomsRising as a consultant to help develop the Ramadan edition of the Faith and Food Justice Toolkit.
